A pretty solid guide created by former progressive congressional staffers who saw and studied how the Tea Party beat back Pres Obama’s agenda. They created this guide to provide insider info on how individuals can best influence Congress, including the basics on petitions and calling our legislators. Shows special care for immigrants and non-citizens. Shows how to organize locally using town-halls, meetings, sit-ins, interventions at legislator photo-ops, and coordinated calls. Invites you to share, use, amend, and customize.

The SPLC is the premier U.S. non-profit organization monitoring the activities of domestic hate groups and other extremists – including the Ku Klux Klan, the neo-Nazi movement, neo-Confederates, racist skinheads, black separatists, antigovernment militias, Christian Identity adherents and others. They're currently tracking more than 1,600 extremist groups operating across the country and publish investigative reports, train law enforcement officers and share key intelligence, and offer expert analysis to the media and public. They have several projects aimed at educators and youth.
